Ian MacNeil
1st Ward Trustee

Ian is a Law Assistant, doing paralegal work handling mostly Article X Family Law, as well as a small business owner and an entrepreneur.

In addition, Ian has around 10 years in management experience making him a perfect candidate for the Solvay Board of Trustees.

As Trustee, Ian would like to accomplish the following:

• Restore order and decorum to village meetings.
• Encourage residents to become more involved.
• Work to create an economically sustainable future for the Village Solvay.
• Institute a Chamber of Commerce to stimulate business development in the village.
• Work to update and better enforce codes to maintain a safe and healthy village and improved housing quality.
• Increase accountability and transparency in
village government, making sure all citizens’ concerns are heard.

2nd Ward Trustee

I have 10+ years of experience as a successful small business owner and entrepreneur – which I can utilize to balance our budget and stimulate small business growth throughout the village.

I’m a dedicated professional and a fresh face with new ideas to really move Solvay forward both socially and economically.

MY PRIORITIES

• Restore order and decorum to village meetings.
• Eliminate irresponsible unauthorized/ un-budgeted spending and work to ease the tax burden placed on residents.
• Update local codes/regulations to make it easier for small business to open and grow here in Solvay.
• Work to update and better enforce codes to maintain a safe and healthy village.
• Increase accountability and transparency in
village government, making sure all citizens’ concerns are heard.

• Village of Solvay Ethics Committee member

MY PRIORITIES

• Restore order and decorum to village meetings.
• Encourage residents to become more involved.

• Work to improve the environmental sustainability of the Village of Solvay and keep our streets and neighborhoods clean.
• Focus on upgrading and improving the quality of notoriously neglected roads, sidewalks and parks.
• Increase accountability and transparency in village government, making sure all citizens’ concerns are heard and not ignored.
